Nature Valley TVC
A brand spanking new TVC for Nature Valley working with Girl & Bear at VCCP.
The brief was minimal. Using the brand colour, oats and honey can you make a dynamic split screen tabletop TV Commercial. Along with DOP Tim Green we made something which I think takes humble ingredients and elevates them to something more.
Takeaway
A personal project focusing on the good old British takeaway. This sort of food has become very London centric in its portrayal and I wanted to champion the meals most of the country is eating on a Friday and Saturday night. This sort of Anglo-Chinese is a national staple with ritualistic orders of sweet orange sauces.
McDonald’s Breakfast No Words
I worked on these stills and directed a series of TV commercials celebrating the deliciousness and iconicity of McDonald’s breakfast.
No logo - Just the food you know and love.
Do I really need to say any more?
McDonald’s Big Arch
I am delighted to have shot the brand new BIG ARCH for McDonald's Global team.
I've had a fantastic relationship with the brand for a few years now and we're always building imagery that delivers big on hunger. This Big Arch campaign is no different. The design team built a layout which is bursting from the seams with the epic scale of the burger.
McDonald’s McCrispy 2025
I was delighted to be asked back to shoot the 2025 McDonald’s McCrispy TVC. Dropping onto my desk on the 23rd of December and shooting early in January we moved quickly with a brief that was on a quick turnaround and ever changing. We wanted delicious impactful food paired to titles (that were tbc) and a moment of longing performance.
Franks McSpicy
Get ready, spice lovers - McDonald’s is making it hot! The wait is over - the legendary McSpicy® X Frank’s RedHot® is making it’s grand return and I was delighted to shoot it once more.
McDonald’s Favourites
Gift your Gherkin? Peel the wrapper cheese? Dip fries in milkshake? Always order a cheeseburger on the side or found yourself constructing a table on your lap on the last train home?
McDonald’s is rich with hundreds of relatable truths that surround their iconic menu items. This new platform "Only at McDonald's" shines the spotlight on them, names them and gets people going ‘Yeah, I do that'.
This massive campaign will be popping up over all over your telly, your street, your socials and in your ears throughout the year. Here's the first drop of print.
Morrisons Valentines
When a bin is your idea of a Valentine's Day gift, you're lucky not to get binned straight away. Protagonist Michael somehow got away with it last year, but he needs to up his game in 2025. We don't care if that bin had a sensor-activated lid, Marion deserves better on February 14th.
Michael's redemption arc begins at Morrisons, where he buys a camembert wreath, a thirty-day aged rump steak, triple-cooked chips, melt-in-the-middle chocolate puddings, and a bottle of Prosecco. It looks like a good meal deal for all the Michaels out there. Directed by Scott Grummett, Produced by Darling Films. Food Elaine Ngan. DOP Tim Green. Edited by Adam Rudd @ Whitehouse Post
McDonald’s Festive Menu 2024
McDonald’s invited me back once more to shoot this years Festive Food Campaign. I shot food stills that had to look truly delicious but take on various plug together modular formats. I also directed three TV campaigns taking on those small Christmas jobs and the little rewards you give yourself as you tick them off.
Bao Night Market
At the end of 2024 I was asked by Bao to shoot their menu for their return to their street food roots. Bao Night Market is dishing up classic Baos, alongside fried chicken and bubble tea.
Founded by Shing Tat Chung, Erchen Chang and Wai Ting Chung, BAO has grown from a single stall at Netil Market to now seven restaurants across London. Inspired by travels throughout Taiwan and Asia, the night market has always been at the heart of BAO's menu.
BAO Night Market takes its cue from the grab-and-go spirit of Taiwan’s bustling night markets, dishing up classic BAOs alongside fried chicken and bubble tea. From Taipei in the north to Kaohsiung in the south, Taiwan’s cities are full of neon-lit night markets that open their doors in the early evening. Inspired by these eclectic destinations, BAO Night Market's sees a return to the original inspiration behind BAO's ten year legacy.
Jelly AOP Gold Winner
I’m delighted to announce that Jelly has won GOLD at the Association of Photographers (AOP) Awards. I’m really proud to be recognised by the industry for something that is so silly but full of joy.
Hellmann’s
Just as everyone is gearing up for Christmas Time I’m presenting some BBQ work for Hellmann’s. I’ve finally been able to get my hands on these films shotin the studio in Serbia last year. We created these two films (alongside some others to be released) to showcase how Hellmann’s can elevate a simple sandwich or BBQ to another level.
Bailey's Churros
Introducing Bailey’s Churros - A remix of the classic Bailey’s Irish Cream with a Latin X Cinnamon twist. I directed a TVC and took some stills to showcase some delicious cocktails you can make with the product too. Click to see the full film.
McDonald’s 50th Birthday TVC
The team at McDonald's have had me working across their new campaign to celebrate 50 years in the UK. We have been dialing up the nostalgia of children's birthdays spent in McDonald's in the 80s and 90s and trying to capture that joyful spirit. It's old meets new, nostalgic setting, modern food and of course Dexter smashing his VO as always! I've shot several parts on this campaign from TV to Advertising stills and the video food porn moments on the point of sale kiosks and the big screens behind the tills.
Alpro - How Do You Breakfast?
I was delighted to be invited back for a second Alpro shoot highlighting a varied collection of non dairy products. I love how varied my job can be, switching between tabletop sets and large scale sets, but I think we crated a beautiful series, perfect for multi territory advertising.
McDonald’s Best Burger
In January I was lucky enough to shoot a MONSTER project for McDonalds UK. They have made their burgers EVEN better, their best burgers ever! The meat is juicier and hotter, the cheese is meltier, the salad is fresher and the buns are toastier and more brioche. For my money there’s a big improvement and brings the product closer to the more hipster high street burger chains whilst retaining a fantastic price point.
McDonald’s Germany Best Big Mac
I spent several months in Hamburg in 2023 shooting for McDonald’s Germany with the brilliant Scholz and Friends. We shot almost every item on the menu as part of the launch of their new Best Burger campaign, creating a new look with a looser more delicious food world.
Doritos Dippers
Way back in June I was asked by Doritos to create a mountain of Doritos for their new Doritos Dippers. A crisper crunchier version of Doritos perfect for Nachos as they don’t get soggy. We were given some strict instructions around making a mountain whilst still restrained by portion control. Udo our food stylist and DOP Tim Fok did a superb job alongside Voice Over GOD of the silver screen, Red Pepper.
Flora TV
Two brand new spots from an epic job with Flora. Shot in Istanbul with the brilliant team at DARLING Films and Lucky Generals, we created a whole host of crops and cut downs, from 9.16 options to 30’s, 20’s, 10’s and 6’s across a whole host of territories and recipe alteration requirements. It was a mad matrix but also a creative joy to create a system that delivered on production, creative and of course taste.
McDonald’s Breakfast
Earlier this year I was invited back by McDonald’s to recreate my very first major campaign for them… Breakfast!
We based everything on the glorious morning sunrises just kicking the edges of the beautiful food. As always with McDonald’s there was a puzzle around backgrounds, crops, angles and being able to make each food item work at various formats with and without other items including a coffee you can see into, hence the higher angle compared to last years more foodie formats. Ultimately though I think we delivered another McDonald’s brief that really feels like food and makes you hungry for a McDonald’s Breakfast.
