I was recently commissioned by Lurpak to create four brand new recipe films for digital content. We shot for both landscape and portrait outputs making the most of a Mobile First approach. To do this we used a split screen technique that allowed more beautiful food moments to feature on screen at once. A couple of months back the booze pros at White Label commissioned me to shoot a little street food selection for Jim Beam. Jim is throwing a series of Garden Parties around the country through the summer and along with his own high ball serves, the guys at Ghetto Grillz are serving up some Salt Beef bagels to blow your mind!

For years Just Eat has used only stock imagery and in an attempt to tighten up their branding and create a photographic guide they commissioned me to create this initial set of three images for use across their website. Shooting so they can work on all devices so shooting for portrait, landscape, wide banners and square is always a challenge but I think they look great.

A gap in the book, I recently shot some cheese after a serious craving for some mouldy blue, a buttery hovis and glass of port. Yummers.

Honest Burgers have brought back this beauty: The LouisianaThe beef has been dry rubbed in a special Cajun spice mix, giving a little bit of heat and a smokey undertone. Adding to this they have got a homemade smoked ketchup, fried onions and their signature pickles with some American cheese and smoked bacon. It's balanced, smokey and packs a little hit of cayenne from the Cajun rub. This is going down as one of my all time favourites.

This week in Shortlist is everything you need to know about eating beer. That's right - it's a thing. Chef Andrew Clarke of Black Skulls Biker Cafe - Jim's Cafe in Clapton has prepared some delicious recipes to make the most of the best craft beers around.

New Menu shoot for the restaurant Calavera based in Milan. From the Roadhouse group of over one hundred restaurants comes a new Mexican concept with five sites opening in 2017. I once again flew with my team to Modena to shoot in the companies test kitchen.

We were spoilt by a fantastic team and of course ate our weight in Pasta and Lambrusco.

A commission shooting a travel and tourism piece with my new side project Food Hall. We were focusing on Morty & Bob's one of London's best Secret Cafes based at Nettle House in North East London.

A freshly cut version of the best of my liquids directing work, from clients including Odeon, Bombay Sapphire, Balvenie and Dewars whisky. 

I have once again been commissioned by Bombay Sapphire to direct a series of film recipes for gin lovers. The brief was to create step by step, follow along films based around festive recipes using Bombay Sapphire. Once again I had a fantastic team and have since indulged in a few too many cocktails.

The Balvenie commissioned me to create a film following a script and story of games matching with the moves and decisions a malt master makes when distilling whisky. We shot the piece over a few days in Scotland a studio day in London, working around the busy schedule of the Balvenie warehouse and of course the fantastic malt master David Stewart MBE.

I flew along with food stylist Lucy Ruth Hathaway to shoot their new menu in Modena.

During the summer I was commissioned to take stills and Direct a film for one of my first clients Wired Magazine. They were featuring another previous client, Dominique Ansel in the magazine and wanted a recipe for his Frozen Ice Cream Smore on their online content. Here is the finished result.

A directing commission from Saatchi & Saatchi for ASDA. I was commissioned to shoot product ranges representing various cuisines from around the world with the main aim of adding more food & taste appeal to Asda's products. The pieces were commissioned as digital content but were later licensed for TV.

Earlier this year I was asked to team up with my former mentor, one of the most respected food and drink photographers & directors in the business Mr Gus Filgate.

Gus kindly shared out the Sainsbury's Christmas Food Ordering campaign, leaving me with a technical challenge of shooting in the style had Gus created early on. Shooting everything from joints of meat to sharing platters and desserts we created a beautiful collection of images that hopefully entice the tastebuds heading towards the 25th of December.

Earlier in the year I was once again commissioned by All Star Lanes to shoot their latest menu. Classic diner dishes served up by Exec Chef Ashley Clarke and wonderful cocktails from Sean Soon. All photographed in their East London Brick Lane restaurant. Assisted by Nick 'photo' Warner.

HotBox are legends of the London barbecue scene. They started out as street food traders, learning the ropes at Street Feast before opening their first restaurant in Spitalfields in 2015. HotBox’s incredible pulled pork is so delicious and so simple – just pork collar, rubbed with sugar and spice, smoked for 16 hours over smouldering hickory and oak. 

Honest Burgers have opened their first restaurant outside of London, in my hometown of Cambridge. They have launched the Cambridge burger Served in Cambridge Only, Beef, Baron Bigod brie, smoked bacon, apple & onion chutney, pickles and mixed leaves. The Chutney comes from the Cambridge Cheese Co and is perfectly paired with Moon Shine Pale Ale from the Milton Brewery. DELICIOUS

It has been the most insanely busy year. With a new business venture under way along with no end of stills and directing commissions, I thought it was time I share some imagery.

With this Indian Summer I thought I should throw back to the summer where we were shooting more Street Food, this time for Carnaby Street Eats.
