/ Honest Burgers Kings Cross
Restaurant interiors and exteriors of Honest Burgers’ newest restaurant at Kings Cross. This site has temporarily been turned into Honest Chicken a new pop up site for the chain.
/ Nando’s
One of my early commissions was shooting for the kings of convenience cravings Nando’s. Peri Peri chicken is what they are most famous for, fries, spicy rice, coleslaw and garlic bread compliment that main event to create one of the most popular restaurants in the country.
As a food photographer I was given the opportunity to shoot for them and create a series of images for their PR & Marketing channels.
/ Valentines
Roses are Red, Violets are blue, I’m a photographer, How do you do? These were a mailer I put out back in 2014 to celebrate Valentines day. I’d been doing a few more macabre projects with St Barts Pathology museum. It really connected with certain sub cultures and alternative groups and gets sent around every halloween.
/ Creme Brûlée
This has been the month of Creme Brûlée. I was lucky enough to be signed up by P for Production, who funded my tabletop directing/director showreel. The first film of which was this, a Creme Brûlée. I am now working with the brilliant team at food hall www.foodhall.london for my directing work.
/ Mens Health
Way back in 2013 I was commissioned by Mens Health to create a series of still life images of food to represent different health aspects. Be it Bananas’ potassium that allows you to keep going like a marathon, Lemon’s abilities to keep the doctors away or Pak Choi’s strength giving qualities.
These were brilliant fun to create alongside food stylist Natalie Thomson. They remind me of the famous Pret advertising photography campaigns.
/ Honest Burgers / Early Work
One of my first ever food clients were Honest Burgers. In August 2013.I was commissioned to do probably my second job with them; shooting some of their specials including a new breakfast burger and a smoked pigs cheek side. At this point they were up to three sites; Brixton, Soho and Camden and were very much a press paradise with my shots were featured in the likes of Shortlist, Time Out & The Evening Standard (to name a few) to promote them.
/ Volcano
Graphic food photography of a mash potato volcano filled to the brim with baked beans creating an eruption of lava sliding down the side. This is one from the archive shot as I was just creating my style. It’s a shot i’d like to recreate in the future with a bit more technical finesse.
/ Honest HBO / True Blood Louisiana Special
If you’ve trodden the Meat Liquor, Patty & Bun, Tommi’s burger triangle one too many times on your lunch break, head to Honest Burgers for their new Louisiana offering that centres around a Cajun blackened beef patty.
How to celebrate the season 5 DVD release of vampire drama True Blood in London? Turn the Thames blood red? Hire people to spontaneously rip off their clothes like they do in the show? Wrong – create a delicious burger!
/ Food Testing
Way back in 2013 I was doing some food testing for my portfolio as I was starting out as a food photographer in London. Here are some glossy food photography images for the archive.
/ Silver Island Yoga
I was once again invited back to shoot the incredible Silver Island in Greece. Silver Island is a private island which runs as a retreat for guests, teaching yoga, promoting relaxation and serving delicious vegetarian food. At the request of many guests Silver Island is publishing a recipe book of various dishes on the island.

/ What’s Inside Cooks Matches?
Wired Magazine have a monthly feature looking at what’s inside household products we all have. This month it’s Cooks Matches. The match heads are coated in Paraffin Wax, which is ignited when struck along the strip on the side of the box. The same wax is used as a thickening agent for paintballs so I got the opportunity to get a little trigger happy.
/ What's Inside Pringles?
Each month Wired Magazine's Dr John Emsley takes apart a household product to see What's Inside it. Pringles has an antiseptic acid also found in your dentist's surgical toolkit.
I was commissioned to shoot Pringles alongside some dentist tools on a sterile background. I got tiling and here is the result:
