Having recently featured on the cover of Square Meal magazine I was invited to shoot for its sister publication Imbibe, an on trade magazine for the drinks industry. I shot a series of classic gin cocktails for them, here are just a couple of my favourites.

This months Esquire food column features Russell Norman making another simple classic. Fish, lemon, butter and samphire. It's simple, hearty and healthy. For some reason people fear cooking fish, they think it’s difficult but Russell was out to set them straight.

The latest issue of Weight Watchers magazine is on shelves now featuring shots of an incredibly sweet young family baking together. Heres a couple of my picks from the day.

At the start of February, I was once again invited back to shoot for the Bowling come Karaoke come Diner come all round party venue that is All Star Lanes.

I shot some of their most handsome dishes, sharers, milkshakes and cocktails for their new website (coming soon) and social media channels. Along with Exec Chef Ashley Clarke we aimed to create some tantalising visuals of heart stopping gluttonous feasts.

Honest Burgers have been continuing their quest for world domination with even more restaurant openings. Peckham & Covent Garden have opened this year and there are plenty more to follow. Tom & Phil invited me down to shoot some more of their interiors of the restaurants oh and their latest Rib Man Holy Fuck Special

At the end of 2015 I was invited by Grey Goose to shoot some brand new cocktails created for the BAFTA awards. The stars will be enjoying this cocktail collection created by Grey Goose Master Mixologist Joe McCanta.

In this months Esquire, Russell Norman makes classic winter warmer Irish Stew. Lamb neck is the key ingredient here as it is fatty enough to provide the stock with lots of flavour. Russell also speaks of the importance of using two types of potatoes, one waxy like a charlotte (new) potato and one floury like a Maris Piper. The waxy hold their shape while the floury break down to thicken the stock.

I was commissioned in 2015 by Lurpak to create a series of images based around the tagline... "A Taste of..." e.g. A Taste of Mexico, A Taste of Israel etc. We were presented with dishes to create recipes for using Lurpak and them to shoot them looking tasty.

It's been a little while since i've posted an Honest Burgers blog piece but we have been constantly plugging away shooting specials and breakfast items as well as their new Old Street Location. Today however I give you... THE TRIBUTE TO BACON.

I was recently invited back to The Park Lane Intercontinental Hotel, the Queen's childhood residence and probably one of the best located hotel in town, the Intercontinental is a five star beauty. Having photographed the lovely Theo Randall in his restaurant there earlier this year the marketing team have commissioned me to shoot their afternoon teas on a few occasions now. As we have been shooting some healthier January teas that can't yet be revealed, here is one I did earlier, The Chocolate Afternoon Tea.

#TakeOnChristmas is the Lurpak motto this year. They are looking to inspire the nation to up the stakes and make Christmas dinner like it's never been made it before. I was commissioned to shoot some recipes styled and written by the charming & talented Rosie Scott. Mince pies, turkey - lots of firm festive favourites.

Earlier this month I was commissioned by the folks at Tesco to shoot some stills to accompany their Dinner Tonight YouTube series.

Shooting on a small set alongside the motion set, I had to move incredibly quickly to capture the dishes and talent in the Tesco kitchen. I do like a challenge.

This month for Esquire Russell Norman makes Malfetti. Roughly translated from Italian it means "badly formed". However they are not deserving of their name, these gnocchi-like morsels, all dimpled and green are absolutely perfect. 

Another of my recipes, this time for Chocolate Ice Cream that is rich and delicious and requires no ice cream maker just a bit of whisking and freezing? It can't be true surely? Believe me... it is!

In September I was invited to a beautiful barn in Southward to shoot some new festive recipes for Weight Watchers' Christmas campaign. Subscribing to their 80/20 rule of being good eighty percent of the time allowing for treats twenty percent, these recipes help make that eighty percent more exciting. There's some lovely berry & vodka fizz, a pomegranate and clementine trifle and a delicious curry, a boxing day favourite.

Street Feast has opened another fantastic new site in Canada Water. It’s a huge disused ware house turned into a street food haven with all of the favourites, smokestak, breddos, rola wala. They call it… Hawker House.

I was recently contacted by the family owned cafe ‘Printworks Kitchen’ in Clerkenwell, to come up with a warm Winter salad to add to their menu. The only stipulations being that the ingredients should be seasonal and available locally.

The latest shots from one of my regular clients: Street Feast! They have opened a colossal night market in Shoreditch named DINERAMA. It's open for a limited time on Friday and Saturday Nights.

A recent commission for Esquire, shooting the charming David Silva of Balthazar London creating cocktails. Brian is championing sherry and is a big big fan of vermouth.

That means this month Russell Norman is creating a dish that is a little more festive. Here he makes a delicious treat for Christmas morning, Beetroot Cured Salmon, served as crostini. This accompanies his Reluctant Cook column in Esquire UK where he discusses the various ways to survive Christmas; his being to lock yourself in the kitchen and no matter how many times any one should ask... No he doesn't need any help!!!
